Community
At States Logistics, our employees feel it is our responsibility to come together as a team and give back to our community. Through customer donations and employee donations we have walked for the cure of Breast Cancer and Alzheimer's, volunteered at the Orange County Food Bank and we have contributed to the Door of Faith Orphange in Mexico.
Richard May the founder of States Logistics lost his wife Jewel May to Alzheimer’s. The May Family witnessed first hand the devastating effects of this disease. Each year the May Family actively fundraises in memory of their Mother & Grandmother. Funds raised at the Memory Walks support research toimprove the lives of millions living with Alzheimer’s and local programs for all those affected by this devastating disease. Please help us make a difference by supporting us with a donation as we walk in the annual Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk.
States Logistics Services, Inc. Associates volunteer their time and donate canned food to help the Orange County Food Bank in Garden Grove California build cases of food to feed senior citizens with a monthly income less than $1100.00. Val Itula of the Southern California warehousing customer service team coordinated the States Logistics Services Inc. team. The OCFB set a goal to build 2000 cases of food. States Logistics and Boeing teamed up to build a total of 1260 cases against the Disneyland and St. Peters team coming in at 1020 cases of food.
Donna Becker of our Transportation Department in California has raised $2,665.00 for the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk benefiting Susan G. Komen for the cure. She will be participating in the 3 day walk on November 9-11 in San Diego, California this year. Net proceeds from the Breast Cancer 3-Days benefit Susan G. Komen forthe Cure, to fund breast cancer research and communityoutreach, as well as the NationalPhilanthropic TrustBreast Cancer Fund, to provide an endowment for breast cancer initiatives.
States Logistics employees make it a special occasion for many children living in an orphanage in Mexico. Employees picked a child’s name and bought toys and clothing to be delivered for the Holiday Season.
